A recent survey (December 2023) of 400 UK working professionals has found that Spain topped the list of overseas dream destinations for remote working. The research, undertaken by the Global Payments App Nebeus, found that the incentive and motivation for choosing Spain was a better quality of life (46%) followed by a chapter lifestyle (19%).
Perhaps the most interesting statistic from the research is the lack of awareness of the Digital Nomad Visa for Spain, the mechanism by which non-EU citizens can relocate to Spain and keep their existing job. 89% of those polled were unaware of the Digital Nomad Visa.
Spanish cities lead the way in desirable regions to relocate.
Unsurprisingly given the respondents were all of working age, the three largest Spanish cities (Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia) were the three most popular locations in Spain to choose to live in. Alicante was fourth.

This is an excellent price of relevant research, and the full report is available here to read. Sun Lawyers promotes actively the three most popular visas for those wanting to spend more than 90 days at a time in Spain. These are:
We collaborate with A Place in the Sun, attending their live shows and talk to visitors attending who are considering remote working in Spain. We also promote free webinars about the digital nomad visa and remote working, the most recent of which can be accessed here.
